Vector Spectrum Analyzers such as the Tektronix RTSA offer a very good view of the spectral characteristics of the DVB-T/H signals. However, it is not possible to assess the quality of any signal without analyzing its modulation quality. The TR101 290 standard sets a minimum frame for consistent, successful modulation quality analysis although it may not be sufficient for advanced diagnosis and troubleshooting.

DBA adds all the analysis capabilities required by the DVB standards and adds many extra functions to help debugging problems even if they are transitory and it does it with the highest intrinsic MER performance in the market: >48dB.
Constellation may be limited to any set of carriers or any category while MER correlates to the analyzed carriers.
Channel impulse response may be done in time and frequency domains while transmitters in SFN are automatically identified.
DBA can show MER vs time and it introduces the exclusive MERGRAM (MER vs Carrier vs Time) to fully characterize transients.
Analysis performed by the DBA package is carried out according to the DVB standard with the highest intrinsic MER: >48dB.
